The case studies describe various 'unsafe sites' where accidents have taken place. This is followed by the 'safe site' versions showing various improvements that make them safer. All the case studies are fictional, not examples of ideal sites, although they are based on some of the very real dangerous situations that have been found by HSE inspectors. The suggested improvements are not the only, ideal or complete solutions. They are not a blue print for a perfectly safe site.
