Improved barriers introduced

Security is essential for all construction sites, but particularly adjacent to a school. Improved fences have been installed and the hoardings are fitted with viewing windows to satisfy the natural curiosity of children.

Enclosed walkway added

An enclosed walkway has been added to provide safe access to the school for children and staff arriving on foot. The hoardings that enclose the walkway include windows to allow a view of the site in operation.

Site safety board added

The new contractor installed all the necessary notices to alert visitors and contractors to the safety procedures in place on the site. They also visit the school to explain the dangers of a construction site to the children helping satisfy their natural curiosity.

Traffic lights introduced

A temporary traffic light system has been installed to help vehicles enter and leave the site entrance safely.
